We are looking for a strategic finance leader to oversee accounting and financial performance across regional healthcare operations in Nashville, Tennessee. This role works closely with clinical and operational stakeholders to guide budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance while supporting informed business decisions. The position is also responsible for strengthening financial processes, improving visibility into performance, and promoting disciplined fiscal management across multiple service areas.
Job Responsibility
Lead regional budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning activities to support operational and strategic goals
Partner with senior leaders to interpret financial results, identify trends, and recommend actions that improve performance
Oversee core accounting activities, including general ledger management, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and expense monitoring
Direct accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to maintain accuracy, timely processing, and effective cash collection
Prepare and review financial reports and statements, ensuring leadership receives clear, timely, and decision-ready analysis
Maintain strong internal controls and support compliance with organizational standards, regulatory expectations, and audit requirements
Coordinate documentation, testing, and follow-up activities for internal and external financial statement audits and control reviews
Manage financial systems and related reporting tools to preserve data accuracy, system reliability, and meaningful performance insights
Collaborate on payroll and benefits-related financial coordination to ensure proper reporting and compliance
Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, strengthen accountability, and enhance financial operations across the region
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
At least 7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting leadership roles
Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis within a complex organization
Strong background in general ledger oversight, account reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end close processes
Experience supporting financial statement audits, internal controls, and compliance-related reviews
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build financial models and analyze large data sets
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Nice to have
Healthcare, clinical finance, or multi-site regional leadership experience is preferred
CPA, CMA, or other advanced credentials are a plus
