This position provides overall responsibility for capital planning and execution for the big birds and small birds processing facilities. This position requires leadership skills in working with cross-functional teams and effectively managing timelines. Position will manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to influence across business units as well as effectively coordinating external and internal resources. This position will be supporting the following sites: Georgetown, DE, Perry, GA, Salisbury, MD, Rockingham, NC, Dillon, SC and Washington, IN
Job Responsibility:
Develop and lead overall technical strategies and tactics focused on Safety, Compliance, Quality, Profitable Growth, and Cost
Works collaboratively with Operations leadership and VP of Engineering to execute capital projects
Conduct project meetings with cross functional teams to ensure scope and business objectives are met on time and within budget
Build project timelines, clearly state objectives and identify risks
Responsible for capital investment strategy
Develop budgets for future capital projects and compile into a multi-year capital budget
Ensures infrastructure is maintained to meet or exceed the operational needs
Trains project managers and others in the proper project management techniques
Provide technical leadership to the project teams
Report out key project management metrics
Maintains accurate and current floor plans and equipment layouts
This position works collaboratively with the safety, FSQA, production, maintenance, and environmental managers
Extensive travel to various sites- 20%
Requirements:
BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, Civil or Structural Engineering or extensive related work experience
10+ years related work experience with a track record in problem solving, negotiating, managing people, and establishing and meeting schedules
Ability to frequently travel to remote plants and project sites
Must have adequate computer skills with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Nice to have:

Technical experience in construction, refrigeration, poultry processing equipment, project management, and equipment layout
