Our client is a global market-leading technology company with established operations across the U.S., Europe and Asia. With a strong reputation and track record in leading innovation, they are now looking for a Regional Employee Relations Lead to manage their Japan and Korea markets. Due to the market portfolio, fluency in Japanese is essential for the success of this role as this position will be the key point of contact between the Singapore and Japan office. This is a newly created headcount and a permanent role based in Singapore. ... You will be reporting into the function lead for Asia-Pacific and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, HRBPs and Legal Counsels.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and manage complex employee-related matters, including misconduct hearings, performance management issues, formal complaints, leading objective inquiries, working alongside the legal team to create business recommendations
  • Organisation design and talent development
  • providing advisory to the business stakeholders on organisation structures and design
  • Drive targeted learning sessions
  • working closely with L&D to deliver relevant training curriculum to drive towards employee relations excellence amongst HRBPs and organisational leaders
  • Serve as an expert advisor to management and business units on the Best Practices for employee relations cases
  • provide appropriate advise of internal policies and compliance with local employment practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Human Resources or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in employee relations, performance management, organisation design / restructuring and / or employment law with international MNCs
  • Fluency in Japanese language is essential due to daily communication with the Japan office
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively with stakeholders of various demographics and levels
  • Strong understanding of Asia-Pacific employment law, country legislation and frameworks
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data driven methods to provide advisory and recommendations for employee relations excellence
  • Candidates with experience in employee relations, organisation design / structuring and employment law are encouraged to apply
  • This role is open for mobility and will be able to sponsor candidates with fluency in Japanese
