Job Description:

Our client is a well-established Multinational Corporation currently launching a brand-new digital division completely independent of its core business operations. We are seeking an entrepreneurial E-Commerce Operations Manager to spearhead this greenfield project. Reporting to: GM for APAC. This is a rare 'Founder-style' role where you will build a proprietary e-commerce platform from the ground up—starting with Malaysia as the global pilot market before scaling across APAC and eventually global markets.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the setup of a new proprietary e-commerce platform, defining the operational roadmap and store policies without an existing playbook
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Product, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Logistics to establish a seamless fulfillment loop
  • Formulate annual and quarterly operational plans to drive platform traffic, optimize conversion rates, and manage promotional campaigns
  • Partner with the internal IT team to ensure the platform’s features and UI/UX logic align with commercial goals (No backend coding experience required)
  • As the pilot succeeds, you will be responsible for hiring, training, and building the capabilities of the local e-commerce team

Requirements:

  • Diploma or equivalent
  • Min 5 years in e-commerce operations
  • Experience working within a major marketplace (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, Amazon, etc.) is highly preferred
  • Strong capability in developing platform strategies and analyzing sales data to optimize performance
  • Highly independent and can 'hit the ground running' in a lean structure without much direction

Excellent benefits package
