Job Description:

Due to growth and expansion within their commercial offering, this well regarded name in the industry is seeking an experienced commercial underwriter to join their development team. The role will be responsible for underwriting mid-market commercial products on a new business basis, developing and maintaining broker relationships and ensuring panel/regional growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Underwriting mid-market commercial products on a new business basis
  • Developing and maintaining broker relationships
  • Ensuring panel/regional growth
  • Responsible for new business pipelines and attend client visits
  • Leveraging market expertise to adopt a comprehensive underwriting approach
  • Identifying new mid-market sectors and enhancing business propositions

Requirements:

  • Strong Property & Liability/commercial underwriting experience, particularly within the mid-market segment
  • Development underwriting experience is desirable
  • Track record of successfully cultivating and managing relationships
  • Strong communicator and excellent diary management
  • Dip CII or equivalent qualification is also desirable
