Job Description

JLL empowers you to shape a brighter way. Our people at JLL are shaping the future of real estate for a better world by combining world class services, advisory and technology for our clients. We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people and empowering them to thrive, grow meaningful careers and to find a place where they belong. Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward. You’ll help define what world-class design looks like at scale in one of the most dynamic regions on earth. This role sits at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and execution—shaping not just spaces, but how JLL Design grows, competes, and leads.

Job Responsibility

  • Set the vision and standard for creative quality across all JLL Design projects and pitches in APAC
  • Provide hands-on concept development, storytelling, and visual direction for high-value opportunities
  • Mentor and develop design leaders and talent across the region
  • Champion a culture of design innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with PDS Sales, Solutions Development, and Client Leaders to win strategic Design and Design & Build (D&B) projects
  • Lead or play a central role in high-stakes bids, delivering compelling design narratives and concepts
  • Identify and unlock upselling opportunities within existing client accounts
  • Represent JLL Design externally through thought leadership, events, and industry engagement
  • Become a trusted influencing agent for APAC Corporate Real Estate (CRE) leaders, ensuring JLL Design is positioned early—as a default partner—for both key account engagements and transactional opportunities
  • Proactively build rapport and influence with internal stakeholders
  • Use insight, relationships, and consistent delivery to make JLL Design the go-to resource for clients seeking future-ready, human-centered environments
  • Serve as the primary link between APAC studios and global JLL Design functions and leadership
  • Actively collaborate with the Design Desk (India, Philippines, South Africa, Thailand) to leverage scalable resources
  • Adapt global tools, templates, and best practices for regional relevance—while feeding APAC insights back into global development
  • Ensure seamless integration of centralized support into local project delivery
  • Build and grow localized design capacity where needed, balancing in-market presence with access to global scale
  • Strengthen alignment, communication, and design integrity between local teams and central capabilities
  • Promote consistent design language, brand expression, and delivery standards across markets
  • Understand cultural nuances in client expectations, workflows, and design approaches

Requirements

  • Minimum 20 years in architecture, interior design, or workplace strategy
  • At least 10 years in senior creative or design leadership roles within consultancy, developer, or corporate real estate environments
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale bids, winning complex projects, and growing design businesses
  • Experience operating in matrixed, multinational organizations
  • Exceptional conceptual thinking, visual communication, and presentation skills
  • Mastery of Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, Adobe Creative Suite, and real-time rendering tools
  • Skilled in test-fits, space planning, and front-end design exploration
  • Strong commercial acumen—understanding of project profitability, scope negotiation, and resource management
  • Data-literate: able to use evidence and analytics to inform design decisions
  • Leader who empowers teams and fosters innovation
  • Adaptable across cultures and working styles
  • Committed to diversity, inclusion, and ethical practice
  • Passionate about continuous learning and raising the bar
