Job Description:

Reporting to the AM Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of our daily pick-up and delivery operations via our extensive Agent network. Based at our state-of-the-art depot in St Marys, this is a great opportunity for someone has excellent communications and rapport building skills and is motivated to strive for improvements and efficiencies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Liaising with clients to understand their freight and logistics needs
  • Coordinating the movement of freight through our supply chain, ensuring the completion of all deliveries and pickups in line with Transit guidelines
  • Tracking shipments and providing updates to customers (both internal and external) on the status of their orders
  • Resolving any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Streamline administrative and operational processes to optimize allocation of pick-ups and deliveries
  • Meet operational objectives in scanning, damage reduction, DIFOT and cost as per Northline performance expectations
  • Ensure adherence to Freight Presentation and Packaging Policy by employees and agents
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory and legislative changes, providing direction, assistance, and training for compliance
  • Drive partner performance and look to enhance our Regional Service offering
  • Supporting the broader operations team as needed

Requirements:

  • Ability to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost reductions
  • Expertise in evaluating profitability by route using relevant reporting methods
  • Strong knowledge of New South Wales regional locations
  • Proven experience in planning, prioritizing, and coordinating multiple tasks and objectives with effective communication
  • In-depth understanding of fatigue management legislation, Dangerous Goods compliance, and Chain of Responsibility
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with Agents, customers, and stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Be customer centric, and have proven experience delivering exceptional customer service
