We currently have an exciting opening for a Regional Commercial Lead to join our Major Projects Team in our UK Water Business. This is an opportunity to play an important role in our business as we continue to expand our Major Projects portfolio across the UK. This a national role that can be based in any of our UK offices.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure we have a healthy, profitable and sustainable Major Projects business
Ensure we effectively manage and balance business risk and growth
Oversee the commercial elements of bids and significant standalone Major Projects
Develop competitive commercial proposals with partner organisations
Meet business objectives and provide opportunity for outperformance
Work with the Regional Directors, Major Projects Market Area Lead, other Commercial Leads and the Senior Leadership Team to develop, implement and improve strong and controlled commercial strategies
Enable sustainable business growth within our Major Projects portfolio
Build and maintain strong working relationships with Client and Partner Commercial Leads
Review performance
Identify opportunities for improvement
Be a key escalation route for resolution of Major Project issues
Demonstrate visible, engaged Health & Safety leadership through active focus on performance and participation in leading indicator activity
Protect the wellbeing of Stantec employees, clients, partners and the public
Provide commercial leadership to the leadership group
Ensure the team is inspired and motived to deliver best practice in commercial & risk performance management
Challenge conventional thinking
Create a collaborative culture within the group
Requirements:
Qualified with a relevant degree
Experienced Commercial Lead with solid understanding of how to work with professional services teams in a non-hierarchical organisation to deliver improvements and change
Experience in a similar consultancy environment
Relevant Design & Build experience in the regulated water sector
Exemplary experience in NEC4 contract management practices successfully delivered through various commercial and alliance delivery models
Strong commercial acumen
Strong business analysis skills
Ability to interpret and understand complex financial systems and reports
Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, and external partners
High degree of self-management, initiative, reliability and flexibility
