Job Description

Exciting opportunity within Pfizer’s Inflammation & Immunology business unit to lead the newly expanded Gastroenterology specialty sales team in the Northeast Region with responsibility for Velsipity. The I&I GI Regional Business Director (RBD) will be responsible for building, developing, coaching, and leading the U.S. Gastroenterology sales team in the Northeast region that will achieve agreed upon sales objectives for Velsipity.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive brand performance and engage with customers to gain market insights to make informed decisions and implement impactful sales strategies
  • Accountable for leading regional sales strategies, monitoring pull through success and implementing changes when needed
  • Lead strategic and compliant regional collaboration with marketing & cross functional partners
  • Assist in the planning and execution of national and regional meetings
  • Assist in the Incentive Compensation planning process
  • Maximize connectivity & presence in the market with key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with RBD peers to share successes, best practices and experiences
  • Leading Leaders Area Business Managers (ABMs) by providing consistent coaching and development
  • Develop, sustain & elevate a high ABM team culture around people and performance
  • Share and communicate top ABM talent across Business Units (BUs)
  • Leading and engaging sales representatives by conducting field rides
  • Conduct growth conversations with fast/far colleagues, identify underperforming reps, and share/communicate top rep talent across BUs

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree required
  • 15+ years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience
  • Minimum of three years management experience leading a team
  • Minimum of three years spent leading a pharmaceuticals sales team and/or developmental role with demonstrated leadership of teams is preferred
  • Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards
  • Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from being hired
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical business
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to analyze and draw appropriate conclusions using sales data/call reporting software/applications
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to think and communicate with the audience's needs first
  • Excellent facilitation skills
