Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development Manager to join our Regional Management team. In this role, you will support the Regional Director in developing and implementing sales and marketing plans for various Trusts within your region. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities for private patients.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the Regional Director to develop and implement a growth and relationship building plan for each NHS Trust and ICB in their region
  • Interact with customers and identify new opportunities for growth
  • Work with Head of Private Patients and Unit Managers and other internal stakeholders to identify and develop opportunities for growth in national accounts, other private customers and self-pay patients
  • Monitor contract renewals and tender opportunities
  • Identify, manage and secure business from referring organisations to grow additional revenues
  • Develop networks and relationships with local private providers, health organisations and other groups to maximize opportunities within local geographical areas
  • Create propositions, negotiate and agree commercial terms with customers
  • Ensure AML’s CRM system is up-to-date and used effectively
  • Provision of comprehensive management reporting information on the status of the engagement plan
  • Monitor trends in referrals by key customer groups to identify opportunities to increase business and to pick up indicators of potential dissatisfaction
  • Actively support, through your actions, the marketing and promotion of the company

Requirements

  • Proven track record in a management, business development, or project management role within the healthcare sector
  • Experience in identifying and developing business growth opportunities
  • Ability to work autonomously, set own deadlines, and manage others to deliver within project milestones
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to negotiate and influence others effectively
  • Ability to quickly forge positive relationships with existing and potential business partners
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage conflicting priorities
  • Commercial awareness within the healthcare sector
