Job Description:

The Regional Asset Protection Leader (RAPL) is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and for supporting safe store environments and operational excellence within the assigned region. Regional Asset Protection Leaders are responsible for a multi-state region and are relationship based. They use data to strategically plan their time and conduct impactful store interactions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as a primary contact for store teams and District Leaders during escalated in-store incidents, including critical and active incidents
  • Work in partnership with stores and District Leaders to share observations, provide development, and invest in teams, strategies, and goal commitments that address shrink and SKU variance performance, customer engagement, omni-channel execution, theft awareness, and other operational controllables
  • Develop and manage asset protection initiatives and projects, in conjunction with Asset Protection leadership and field leadership, to deliver gross margin impact, reduce shrink, and improve processes and procedures through in-person, virtual, and phone-based support
  • Partner with brand field leaders to connect store and business strategy with asset protection opportunities through effective communication and training to reduce shrink, margin erosion, and safety risks
  • Independently and in partnership with field leadership, communicate asset protection awareness by teaching and managing implementation of policies and procedures through in-person, web-based, and phone-based methods
  • Manage other strategic projects, as assigned, related to asset protection, shrink reduction, SKU variance, risk management, and safety across KnitWell Group stores and its distribution network
  • Partner with the analytics team and Manager of Investigations to resolve losses attributed to omni-channel fraud or external theft
  • Serve as a community liaison with law enforcement and other retail/asset protection partners to recover merchandise or cash, support case prosecution, and facilitate restitution when warranted
  • Perform in-person and virtual store visits to ensure compliance with company policies, identify areas of loss, and execute strategies related to shrink, safety, physical security, and risk management
  • Perform additional tasks, as needed, to meet business needs as determined by KnitWell Group leadership

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of retail experience in asset protection or loss prevention preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop these skill sets in others
  • Ability to interact and communicate with varying levels within the organizational structure
  • Strong analytical skills sufficient to conduct research, determine relevance of information, and interpret meaning
  • Advanced investigation, interview, and interrogation skills preferred
  • Assist Risk Management and safety efforts, as needed
  • Intermediate computer proficiency with applications such as Microsoft Office applications
  • 50%+ Travel Requirement (covers all KWG Brands)
  • Required to work possible nights and weekends to respond to critical incidents, time sensitive investigations and address asset protection issues
  • Extensive ability to manage administrative functions (time, expenses, budgets, scheduling, reporting, etc.)
