Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Accounts Payable Manager to lead and oversee all AP operations based in our Thailand office. This role plays a critical part in managing the full spectrum of accounts payable activities for Australia offices. The successful candidate will ensure efficient invoice processing, payment operations, compliance, and continuous improvement across the AP function in line with regional and global finance standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end AP operations for Australia and Thailand, including vendor invoicing, payment cycles, staff reimbursements, and expense claim processing using the Deltek Workbook finance system
  • Provide regional accounting services from Thailand (BKK-based office), covering a portfolio of 90% Australia and 10% Thai operations
  • Collaborate closely with the Sydney-based finance team to align on group policies, reporting timelines, and regional initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (e.g., GST, withholding tax) and internal accounting policies
  • Oversee the execution of multi-currency payment runs, including banking interfaces, approval processes, and weekly/monthly bank reconciliation
  • Manage vendor relationships, including issue resolution, payment status updates, and statement reconciliation, including creditor statements
  • Support and oversee weekly cash flow forecasting activities within HSBCnet
  • Maintained vendor master data in the Workbook systems, ensuring accuracy of banking details and tax IDs
  • Maintain internal controls and support external/internal audits with appropriate documentation and timely responses

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA is a plus
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Proven experience working in regional or shared service environments, preferably within multinational companies
  • Solid understanding of local and international tax compliance related to payables
  • Excellent Thai and English communication skills, both written, reading and verbal
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working across time zones and multicultural teams
