Job Description:

An established and innovative business operating in the UK livestock feed sector is seeking a Sales Account Manager to join its sales team. This is a remote field-based role focused on managing and growing customer accounts across the North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, and Bristol regions. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional with experience in the agricultural sector to join a forward-thinking company that values quality, sustainability, and long-term partnerships with its farming clients. The successful candidate will take ownership of a defined portfolio of ruminant accounts, with a strong focus on delivering value-added solutions, achieving sales growth, and supporting customers with expert advice and tailored feed strategies. You will work within a wider team and alongside specialists to drive business development, with the support of robust internal systems and CRM tools.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of ruminant sector accounts in your region
  • Implement pricing and sales strategies in line with company objectives
  • Identify opportunities to grow market share and customer value
  • Build and execute tailored account plans using CRM data
  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical, transport, support) to ensure high service levels
  • Monitor customer performance, profitability, and retention metrics
  • Contribute to the wider sales strategy and share insights with team members

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in agricultural sales, preferably within the ruminant sector
  • Strong understanding of farm-level business processes and animal nutrition
  • Excellent communication and account management skills
  • Knowledge of the North Somerset/South Gloucestershire/Bristol farming landscape
  • Analytical, proactive, and commercially focused
  • Proficient in using CRM and standard IT systems
  • Team player, with the ability to collaborate across departments and functions
