An established and innovative business operating in the UK livestock feed sector is seeking a Sales Account Manager to join its sales team. This is a remote field-based role focused on managing and growing customer accounts across the North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, and Bristol regions. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional with experience in the agricultural sector to join a forward-thinking company that values quality, sustainability, and long-term partnerships with its farming clients. The successful candidate will take ownership of a defined portfolio of ruminant accounts, with a strong focus on delivering value-added solutions, achieving sales growth, and supporting customers with expert advice and tailored feed strategies. You will work within a wider team and alongside specialists to drive business development, with the support of robust internal systems and CRM tools.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and develop a portfolio of ruminant sector accounts in your region
Implement pricing and sales strategies in line with company objectives
Identify opportunities to grow market share and customer value
Build and execute tailored account plans using CRM data
Collaborate with internal teams (technical, transport, support) to ensure high service levels
Monitor customer performance, profitability, and retention metrics
Contribute to the wider sales strategy and share insights with team members
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience in agricultural sales, preferably within the ruminant sector
Strong understanding of farm-level business processes and animal nutrition
Excellent communication and account management skills
Knowledge of the North Somerset/South Gloucestershire/Bristol farming landscape
Analytical, proactive, and commercially focused
Proficient in using CRM and standard IT systems
Team player, with the ability to collaborate across departments and functions
