A licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the state of California who will provide Respiratory Services according to the scope of the Respiratory Care Practice Act and the hospital policy and procedure manuals. The RCP will provide respiratory therapy services to inpatients and outpatients as ordered by the physician caring for the patients of ages: Child, Adolescents, Adults, and Older Adults. Under the supervision of the Technician Coordinator and the Director of the Cardiopulmonary Department, the RECP provides respiratory care as directed by physician order. Tasks include, but are not limited to basic respiratory care, emergency respiratory care, ventilatory management, pulmonary testing, and some cardiology procedures.
Job Responsibility:
Provide Respiratory Services according to the scope of the Respiratory Care Practice Act and the hospital policy and procedure manuals
Provide respiratory therapy services to inpatients and outpatients as ordered by the physician caring for the patients of ages: Child, Adolescents, Adults, and Older Adults
Provide respiratory care as directed by physician order
Tasks include, but are not limited to basic respiratory care, emergency respiratory care, ventilatory management, pulmonary testing, and some cardiology procedures
Requirements:
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Current RCP License with the State of California
Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP
Nice to have:
Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registry Eligible with the National Board of Respiratory Care
Minimum of 1 year acute care experience
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
