Job Responsibility:
Maintains, repairs, rebuilds and adjusts refrigeration, boiler and compressed air equipment
Operate and maintain the ammonia refrigeration systems and its related equipment by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and Perdue Safety Procedures
Diagnose system problems and make repairs
Make repairs generated from work orders
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and environmental laws
Ensure compliance with the complex Process Safety Program
Maintain records for their retention period requirements to ensure safe, effective and efficient operations
Perform proper operations and PMs of Boilers, Compressors and Ventilation systems
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with strong reading, communications, math, writing, and analytical skills
2 -4 years experience
Must pass operator certifications CARO and/or CIRO
Must be able to read and use dial gauges, micrometers, etc. in the alignment of motors, pumps, etc. experience in ammonia or Freon refrigeration, boiler operations and compressed air
Must be able to pass a physical and meet requirements for a HAZMAT team member
Must pass a pulmonary test and SCBA fit test annually
Must be able follow procedures and demonstrate an understanding of PSM requirements and Safety programs such as LOTO, Hot work permit, Confined space, Emergency Shut Down, HAZMAT, Hearing conservation, & PPE
