Job Description

As a Refreshment Service Technician, you’ll represent American Food & Vending at client locations, driving a company van to service, repair, and maintain vending machines and beverage dispensers. You’ll troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues, perform routine maintenance, and deliver outstanding customer service.

Job Responsibility

  • Operate company vehicles to visit client locations for the repair, maintenance, and installation of vending machines and beverage dispensers for water and coffee
  • Respond promptly to service calls, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Install, maintain, and repair a variety of vending, beverage, coffee, water, and micro market equipment
  • Conduct systematic inspections of motors, keypads, cooling systems, electrical wiring, and water connections to ensure peak equipment performance
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and calibrating machine components such as pressure gauges and thermostats
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation standards for all machines and surrounding service areas
  • Manage parts inventory, place orders for necessary repair components, and maintain accurate service documentation and maintenance logs
  • Ensure all installations and repairs comply with applicable plumbing, electrical, and health and safety regulations
  • Safely transport equipment to and from repair facilities as needed
  • Maintain company vehicles and tools in clean, organized, and working condition
  • Collaborate closely with route drivers, fellow technicians, and customer service teams to deliver exceptional client support
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Technical or associate-level training in electronics, mechanics, or related field preferred
  • 2–3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, vending, kiosk, POS, or similar technical repair roles
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with knowledge of automated systems, microprocessors, and schematics
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools, handheld devices, and basic service software
  • Excellent problem-solving, time management, and customer service abilities
  • Able to lift 30 lbs., bend, kneel, climb, and work in varied environments
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
