Job Description

A Refreshment Mechanic at American Food & Vending will ensure machines are functioning at the highest quality, order parts, and keep service records.

Job Responsibility

  • Repair, maintain, and install vending machines and beverage dispensers for water and coffee
  • Perform routine checks on motors, keypads, and other equipment to make sure machines are functioning at the highest quality
  • Maintaining vending inventories, order repair parts and keep service records
  • Connect water pipes and electrical wires
  • ensure that installations are compliant with plumbing, electrical and sanitation codes and standards
  • Conduct routine maintenance
  • clean and oil machine parts and adjust machine pressure gauges and thermostats
  • Respond to service calls by taking a preliminary visual survey to look for loose wires or leaks. If no clear problem is found, technicians may use diagnostic equipment and other aids to find the source and extent of the malfunction
  • Transport machines to the repair shop for maintenance and inspection as needed
  • May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed

Requirements

  • Technical school, Certification, or an associate degree in related field preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with POS or Kiosk preferred
  • Basic knowledge of microprocessors, integrated circuits, robotics, and automated functions
  • Lifting, bending, walking, driving, climbing stairs
  • able to lift 40+ lbs. as needed
  • Possess a valid state driver's license that is in good standing
