Job Description:

As a Referral Indexer you will check referrals for accuracy and completion and input the information received by doctor’s offices into the computer system. You will interact with patients, physicians and staff within the call center and outside facilities providing accurate, timely and responsive information.

Job Responsibility:

  • Interacts with patients, physicians, and staff both within the Center and outside facilities, providing accurate, timely, and responsive information
  • Accesses referrals using insurance websites
  • May perform other job-related duties as necessary for the efficient operation

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of at least 1 year
  • With experience as a Patient Care Coordinator or in a similar capacity
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD10 and CPT coding and procedures (preferably)
  • Ability to type at least 40 wpm
  • The ability to multitask consistently and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist/front desk or related experience
  • Proficient in English at least B1
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent phone etiquette
