Job Description:

Baptist Medical Center is currently hiring for a Full-Time Days Referrals Coordinator to join our Outpatient Rehab Patient Access Department in the Jacksonville, FL area. Shift Details: Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.

Job Responsibility:

  • Interacting with staff, patients, internal departments, physician practices, and insurance companies to obtain maximum reimbursement
  • responsible for insurance eligibility and obtaining authorizations for BPC, BPE, Baptist Specialty Offices and Imaging
  • complete around 30-50 authorizations in a day
  • providing referral assistance to physicians, patients, and insurance companies
  • scheduling appointments, obtain authorizations, and collect patient responsibilities at the time of scheduling
  • registering patients in a timely, accurate, and professional manner

Requirements:

  • High school diploma (or higher) Required
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • ability to accurately complete verification of insurance benefits and authorizations using online tools and/or direct contact with insurance carrier
