Red Seal Machinist

• Machine components using Manual and CNC Lathes, Mills, and support equipment
• Read and interpret dimensional requirements from blueprints and technical drawings
• Prepare setups, tools, and inserts
• indicate and zero parts as needed
• Select appropriate feeds and speeds for machining tasks
• Perform part changeovers as required
• Measure and inspect completed parts using precision measuring tools
• Ensure parts meet specified tolerances and record results on inspection sheets
• Report any issues or deviations to the Team Leader or Supervisor immediately
• Maintain and clean equipment regularly and adhere to 5S shop organization standards
• Accurately record time and job details in QAD (ERP system)

• Interprovincial Red Seal Certification – Machinist (required)
• High School Diploma (required)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a fast-paced machine shop environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints
• Proficient in operating multiple CNC machines simultaneously
• Capable of programming, setting up, and running CNC machines
• Familiarity with Mastercam software is an asset
• Ability to work independently on advanced tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills to minimize equipment downtime
