Job Description:

Situated at the Brisbane City Council Tip Shop you will be working within the Treasure Trove Reuse Shop run by Endeavour Foundation located in Acacia Ridge. Internally this role is known as Recycling Attendant you will be driving our commercial truck to collect and unload large items from our many recycling centres across Brisbane. You will assist in the coordination of recyclable goods and waste material at the relevant facility to ensure objects are either recycled or disposed appropriately and in line with contractual obligations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate Endeavour Foundation trucks, completing daily pre-start checks
  • Safely load and unload stock from BCC sites, minimising breakages
  • Greet and assist customers, inspecting loads and directing them to appropriate recycling areas
  • Report any safety hazards, incidents, or inappropriate activities
  • Provide friendly and accurate customer service to contractors and the public
  • Liaise with council and external stakeholders as needed

Requirements:

  • Valid HR Truck Licence (Manual) and/or Forklift (MR) Licence
  • Attention to detail sorting and safely stacking items
  • Superb customer service, communication, and excellent time management
  • The ability to move and lift large heavy items as required
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, but with high levels of respect for others
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), and obtain a ‘Fit 2 Work’ National Police Check
