Job Responsibility:
Function as the primary Recruitment officer for the Simon School’s Part-Time and Executive Masters, MBA, and DBA Programs
Develop and manage the recruitment program for Professional Evening MBA, EMBA, Medical Management, Online MSBA for Managers, the DBA and other programs, including potential online and certificate programs, for working professionals
Develop a recruiting strategy, implement plan and track/evaluate results
Market Simon programs to groups and individuals
conduct informational interviews and follow up to pre-applicants
Executes a recruitment strategy (outreach and marketing plan) for regional and National programs
Conducts pre-applicant outreach to M.S. and M.B.A. candidates including direct mail, email and phone calls through data-mining, CRM reporting and other available tools
Makes formal group presentations at both on-campus recruitment events and off-campus programs
Responds to phone and email inquiries related to Simon School admission
Implements plan to contact applicants through phone, email, and social media such as Facebook and Twitter
Travels for recruitment purposes and professional development opportunities
Can articulate the financial return on investment and options available for financing the programs
Makes recommendations to admissions committee regarding applicant admission decisions
Manages online MSBA program from recruitment to enrollment with a goal of building a pipeline of candidates to meet application and enrollment targets
Cross-trained to market and discuss Full-time MBA and MS programs and speak on general admissions topics
Provides input in planning and decision making for recruitment initiatives and projects that build the pipeline of candidates such as Case Competitions and Experience Events
Communicates presentations and shares content for group events
Submits detailed reports on recruitment activities, including ROI data, and initiates use of data for ongoing enhancements to recruiting strategy and management decisions
Forecasts enrollment trends, likelihood of prospect conversion, and applicant yield
Analyzes best practices regarding recruitment
studies trends in recruitment practices
Keeps current on developments within the Simon School (programs, research, awards, rankings, placements, alumni news, marketing, etc.)
Assists in identifying web-based or print-based collateral that will aid in conversion of prospect to applicant
Remains current on marketing tactics to raise visibility and interest in Simon programs – including but not limited to website, blogs, online message boards and social media
Develops Marketing materials slide decks for online and in person recruitment events
Provides oversight and supervision to Assistant Director of Admission
Participates in onboarding and orientation processes in support of the programs
Provides occasional on-site support for class weekends and events hosted by the Executive and Part-time Programs team
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required
3 years of relevant experience in admissions or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Excellent communications, conversational, task management and follow up skills required
Highly motivated, proactive and resourceful team player
Ability to operate independently to achieve tasks required, yet willing to take direction
Understanding of digital marketing tactics and social media tools used by working professionals
Competency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint in particular) required
Weekends and evening hours required to support program needs
Valid NYS motor vehicle license is necessary
Nice to have:
Master’s work/degree and working knowledge of M.B.A. and M.S. Business programs helpful
Familiarity with website design tools and CRM (e.g., Slate) desirable
