Job Description

X-Bow Systems is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Recruiting Intern to support our Engineering team with sourcing, phone screens, and interview coordination. This role is ideal for someone pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, or HR, with a strong interest in engineering and recruiting. As an Engineering Recruiting Intern, you will play a key role in identifying top engineering talent, coordinating interviews, and ensuring a seamless recruitment process. To succeed in this role, you must have a foundational understanding of engineering concepts and terminology to effectively communicate with candidates and hiring managers.

Job Responsibility

  • Sourcing Engineering Talent: Identify and engage with engineering candidates through various sourcing methods, including job boards, LinkedIn, and networking
  • Screen resumes to match candidates with engineering roles and requirements
  • Phone Screens: Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidates' technical skills, experience, and alignment with the engineering team's needs
  • Communicate effectively using engineering language to evaluate candidates' qualifications
  • Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews between engineering candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a seamless experience for all parties
  • Provide timely updates to candidates and hiring teams throughout the process
  • Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Management: Maintain and update candidate records in the ATS, ensuring data accuracy and compliance
  • Collaboration with Engineering Team: Work closely with engineering hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide timely support
  • Assist in creating job descriptions and recruitment strategies tailored to engineering roles
  • Administrative Support: Prepare reports and track recruitment metrics related to engineering hiring
  • Organize recruitment-related data in SharePoint for accessibility and accuracy

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, or HR
  • Strong interest in engineering and recruiting, with the ability to speak and understand engineering language
  • 1-2 years of experience in recruitment coordination or a related role is preferred
  • Proficiency in ATS and HRIS systems
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with interview scheduling and coordination
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with SharePoint for data management is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid setting, demonstrating a self-starter attitude
