We are looking for a Recruiter to support hiring needs for a non-profit organization in Williamsburg, Virginia. This Contract position will manage recruitment activity across several job categories, helping move candidates efficiently from initial screening through offer acceptance. The role requires strong organization, clear communication, and a commitment to delivering a thoughtful experience for every applicant.
Job Responsibility
Manage full-cycle recruiting activities for multiple openings at the same time, ensuring timely progress across diverse position types
Conduct candidate prescreening and coordinate next steps to maintain momentum throughout the hiring process
Present verbal employment offers and guide selected candidates through acceptance and related follow-up steps
Keep applicant records current and accurate within the applicant tracking system to support reporting and workflow visibility
Partner with hiring teams to recruit for a range of positions, including hospital support, food service, front entrance, call center, interpreter, and other operational roles
Foster a welcoming and well-organized candidate journey through responsive communication and consistent follow-through
Track recruitment activity and maintain organized documentation to support compliance and internal hiring standards
Requirements
At least 2 years of recruiting experience, preferably in high-volume hiring environments
Hands-on experience using an applicant tracking system to manage candidate pipelines and documentation
Ability to prescreen candidates effectively and assess alignment with job requirements
Proven capacity to handle multiple requisitions and shifting priorities with strong attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including confidence in presenting job offers
Detail-oriented and candidate-focused approach to supporting applicants throughout the hiring process
