We are looking for a Recruiter to support staffing efforts for permanent part-time and permanent openings in Indianapolis, Indiana. This Long-term Contract position focuses on identifying suitable talent, engaging both active and passive candidates, and partnering closely with leadership to align recruiting efforts with business needs and workplace culture. The ideal candidate brings a proactive approach to talent sourcing, strong evaluation skills, and the ability to manage multiple openings in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility
Lead end-to-end recruiting activities for assigned openings, from intake discussions and candidate outreach through interviews, offer coordination, and onboarding support
Develop and apply effective sourcing plans to attract strong candidates for a range of roles, including outreach through job boards, industry networks, referrals, and direct engagement
Collaborate with managers, human resources, and department leaders to understand role expectations, team dynamics, and the qualities needed for successful placements
Review applicant backgrounds and conduct screening conversations to assess experience, capabilities, and alignment with the organization’s culture and position requirements
Publish and maintain job advertisements in Paylocity while ensuring postings meet applicable state requirements, including compensation and benefits disclosures
Keep candidate pipelines, interview activity, and recruiting documentation current and accurate within the applicant tracking system
Monitor recruiting performance indicators such as time to fill, cost per placement, source effectiveness, and manager or candidate satisfaction, and share updates with leadership
Represent the organization at job fairs, networking functions, and community outreach events to strengthen talent pipelines and build market visibility
Provide dependable day-to-day support, maintain consistent attendance, and assist with additional recruiting-related tasks as assigned by leadership
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least 2 years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition required
Demonstrated background in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding coordination
Experience using an applicant tracking system and maintaining accurate recruitment records
Ability to manage high-volume hiring activity and work effectively under deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with sound judgment, organization, and problem-solving ability
Ability to work independently while also partnering effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
Experience recruiting for field technician or industrial-related roles, including battery, mechanical, power, or data center environments, is preferred
