Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Recruiter to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a one-year contract position based at our Saskatoon Head Office, working Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is advancing the McIlvenna Bay project, a cornerstone asset and one of the most significant copper development projects in Canada. With commercial production expected in mid-2026, this world-class deposit contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver – key metals for the global transition to green energy. The Recruiter plays a critical part in ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process, from job requisition through to onboarding. The ideal candidate is experienced in sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating with hiring managers, and navigating applicant tracking systems with ease. You will be expected to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide a positive experience for every candidate. This role requires an understanding of the unique demands of the mining industry in Northern Saskatchewan, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a passion for building high-performance teams.
Job Responsibility
Manage full-cycle recruitment across a range of roles, from requisition through to onboarding
Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and align on recruitment strategies
Support the development and maintenance of job descriptions
Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and industry events
Screen applicants through resume reviews, pre-screening calls, and assessments as required
Conduct interviews and support hiring managers in consistent interview practices
Coordinate interview scheduling and communications with candidates and hiring teams
Maintain accurate candidate tracking and recruitment documentation within the system
Prepare and deliver verbal offers and support offer negotiations as required
Coordinate reference checks, background checks, and pre-employment medicals
Draft and deliver Employment Agreements and Total Rewards Statements
Support onboarding and ensure all pre-start documentation is completed
Ensure a smooth and positive transition from candidate to employee
Provide a professional and engaging candidate experience throughout the process
Maintain accurate recruitment records, job postings, and candidate documentation
Track recruitment activity and provide updates to HR and hiring managers
Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and overall efficiency
Support job fairs and recruitment events, including logistics and coordination
Represent the organization and promote career opportunities and company culture
Build and maintain relationships with local communities and workforce partners
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably within the mining industry within Canada
Passion and interest to learn about the mining industry
Familiar with HRIS and ATS platforms
Solid HR administration and people management capabilities
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent company values to candidates
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations and resolve conflicts
Highly organized with keen attention to detail
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Thorough knowledge of applicable provincial and federal employment legislation
Familiarity with HR and recruitment best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies
Comfortable working in a highly front-facing role with regular interaction with employees, candidates, and stakeholders
