We are looking for an experienced Recruiter to support hiring efforts for a cement plant in Theodore, Alabama. This is a long-term contract opportunity within the construction industry, ideal for someone who can manage active hiring needs with a hands-on and organized approach. The person in this role will help attract, assess, and move candidates through the hiring process efficiently while partnering closely with stakeholders to fill key positions.
Job Responsibility
Lead end-to-end recruitment activities for open roles, from intake discussions through offer coordination and onboarding support
Build strong candidate pipelines by using sourcing strategies across job boards, talent databases, referrals, and direct outreach
Manage a high volume of requisitions while maintaining timely communication with applicants and hiring teams
Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate evaluations to identify individuals whose experience aligns with business needs
Coordinate interviews, gather feedback, and keep the selection process moving forward in an organized and efficient manner
Maintain accurate candidate records and requisition updates within the applicant tracking system
Partner with hiring managers to clarify role expectations, align on candidate profiles, and adjust recruiting strategies as needed
Promote a positive candidate experience by providing clear updates, scheduling support, and consistent follow-through throughout the process
Requirements
Demonstrated experience handling full-cycle recruitment in a corporate or industrial environment
Background in sourcing candidates through multiple channels and developing talent pipelines for hard-to-fill roles
Ability to manage high-volume recruiting activity while balancing deadlines and changing priorities
Hands-on experience working with an applicant tracking system to document candidate progress and hiring activity
Strong communication and relationship-building skills for working with hiring managers, candidates, and internal partners
Sound judgment in evaluating candidate qualifications and advancing appropriate talent through the hiring process
Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and follow-up
