Job Description

We are looking for a Recruiter for Applied Research to find the rare hybrids who sit between the 'Lab' and the 'Product.' In this role, you will hunt for the elusive talent that can read a paper and ship production code - the Technical Artists, Graphics Engineers, and Applied Scientists who care about usability as much as capability. You will be the bridge that helps us build the team turning raw intelligence into magical, usable creative tools.

Job Responsibility

  • Own the Hybrid Search: Take ownership of hiring for Applied Scientists, Graphics Engineers, and Technical Artists
  • Identify 'Makers': Screen not just for credentials, but for portfolios
  • Bridge the Gap: Act as the strategic partner to hiring managers who need to translate 'research goals' into 'hiring profiles'
  • Pitch the Product: Articulate the vision of 'Dream Machine' to candidates
  • Creative Sourcing: Use AI agents to scour GitHub, ArtStation, and specialized communities to find talent

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience recruiting for roles that involve Computer Vision, Graphics, or Applied ML
  • Understanding the difference between a Researcher and an Applied Engineer
  • Portfolio focused
  • High agency
  • Startup DNA
  • AI fluent

Nice to have

  • Background in recruiting for Gaming, VFX, or Creative Tools companies
  • Experience recruiting Research Engineers, Applied Engineers, Technical Artists or Graphics Engineers
  • A passion for generative art and creative technology
