Job Description:

The Recreations Guest Service Agent ensures a positive guest experience by providing guidance on fitness equipment use, maintaining the recreation facility, and promoting a safe and engaging atmosphere. The Agent upholds Marriott's professional and service standards, complies with safety and company policies, and performs physical tasks necessary for maintaining the facility. Team collaboration and guest satisfaction are core responsibilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide advice on exercising with fitness equipment
  • clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies
  • promote rules for safety and welfare
  • oversee recreational activities
  • assist individuals with disabilities
  • report incidents to management
  • maintain a professional appearance and environment
  • interact with guests using clear and professional communication
  • comply with policy expectations
  • manage physical tasks as required by role
  • assist in training of hourly employees.

Requirements:

  • Provide advice to individuals on the correct method of exercising with fitness equipment
  • clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies
  • wipe down fitness center machines and remove towels, trash, and debris
  • maintain an adequate supply of cups and water in recreation area
  • distribute lockers and towels to guests
  • provide information on available recreation facilities and activities
  • promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere
  • oversee activities in the recreational facility
  • provide assistance to guests until emergency medical services arrive
  • explain and promote safety rules of the facility
  • ensure hourly employees are trained on company core values, job roles, responsibilities, and technical and service aspects
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
  • complete safety training and certifications
  • follow company policies and maintain a clean and professional appearance
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • anticipate and address guest service needs
  • assist individuals with disabilities
  • interact using clear and professional language
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
  • read and verify information in various formats
  • visually inspect equipment and machines
  • use computers and/or point of sale systems
  • perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • work on uneven or slippery surfaces
  • perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping actions.
