Job Responsibility:
Develop and curate training materials, case scenarios, and activities for AI learning based on real-world recreational therapy practices
Instruct AI models on recreational therapy concepts such as sports, arts, music, dramatics, relaxation techniques, and social activities tailored to diverse patient needs
Review and annotate AI outputs, providing expert feedback to ensure accuracy, empathy, and compliance with medically-approved therapeutic approaches
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate patient care scenarios into actionable AI training data
Assess and recommend improvements to AI systems to optimize their understanding of recreational therapy interventions and outcomes
Utilize exceptional written and verbal communication skills to document findings, report progress, and communicate therapeutic concepts to technical teams
Stay updated with best practices and emerging trends in recreational therapy to continuously refine AI capabilities
Requirements:
Current or prior experience as a Recreational Therapist in clinical settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, or rehabilitation centers
Strong understanding of therapy program planning, patient assessment, and activity modification
Superb written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to clear and compassionate language
Ability to observe, analyze, and document patient reactions, participation, and therapy outcomes
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized therapy treatment plans
Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
A passion for integrating technology with healthcare to enhance patient well-being
Nice to have:
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or equivalent credential
Prior experience with AI, digital health platforms, or clinical data annotation
