The Recreation Worker II is responsible for daily horse maintenance and care, providing guided horseback tours to guest, and running mule trains to transport supplies to various camps. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.
Job Responsibility:
Lead guests on guided trail rides
Provides lessons to guests on basic horsemanship, riding, and horse care
Interacts with guests to ensure rides are educational and safe
Performs administrative duties including answering phones, taking reservations, and processing payment for rides
Provides care for horses and maintains barn/stables
Adheres to safety policies and procedures to ensure safety of guests and horses
Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a horse wrangler preferred
Demonstrates working knowledge of horsemanship, riding, and horse care
Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of greater than 50 lbs.
Work involves exposure to unusual elements and extreme temperatures
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
