Job Description:

The City of Chandler Community Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Recreation Specialist (Part-time, Regular) at Tumbleweed Recreation Center. The position is scheduled, Wednesday through Sunday. Hours are 2:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday through Friday, 11:45 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. on Saturday, and 9:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on Sunday.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver exceptional front desk customer service
  • Help plan and supervise organized recreational activities and programs

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in a youth recreation or adult activity program
  • A first Aid/CPR Certification within 90 days of employment
  • A valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work

Nice to have:

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Skilled in Microsoft 365 Applications
  • Experience with recreation management and registration software
