Job Description:

The Recreation Counselor is responsible for but not limited to motivating and interacting with all children attending the CBI Kids Crew drop-off program (including the evening Babysitting (‘Private Counselor’) Services) and general resort activities to include complimentary games and crafts, family events & challenges, and more. The Recreation Counselor provides consistent fun & exciting entertainment for our Resort while ensuring the safety of all attendees. Counselors will have the flexibility and creativity to implement new special events to enhance the stay of all hotel guests. Additional responsibilities include meeting and greeting bike rental clients; coordinating bike rentals; handling/maintaining related equipment rentals; and billing & sales of all rentals and bike shop merchandise

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing consistent fun & exciting entertainment for our Resort while ensuring the safety of all attendees
  • Having the flexibility and creativity to implement new special events to enhance the stay of all hotel guests

  • Coordinating bike rentals
  • Handling/maintaining related equipment rentals
  • Billing & sales of all rentals and bike shop merchandise

Requirements:

  • Two+ years’ experience working with groups of children or a related course of study (Elementary Education, Children’s Studies, Recreation & Leisure Studies, etc.)
  • Current certification in CPR & First Aid
  • Willing to work flexible hours with a rotating schedule to include weekends and holidays
  • Outgoing, personable & energetic
  • Creative & Active
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to perform job functions with great attention to detail, professionalism, speed and accuracy
  • Prioritize and organize
  • Follow direction thoroughly
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Skilled in sports, games, crafts and event implementation
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
