This position collaborates as a part of an interdisciplinary treatment team within substance abuse treatment programs. The position provides guidance and counseling support as needed by overseeing and accompanying the patient in various program activities to ensure conformance with program schedules, standards, and policies.
Job Responsibility:
Works with the patient and treatment team to develop substance abuse treatment goals and interventions
Provides support, resources, education, and both internal and external referrals for services
Oversees client activities to ensure compliance with program activities and agency policies
Facilitates psychoeducational client groups and group activities
Provides crisis intervention and able to follow specific procedures in emergency situations
Attends and participates in all meetings and maintains audit-ready patient records and program-specific forms
Completes individually assigned program-specific duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
2+ Years experience or education in substance abuse treatment and mental health disorders required
Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/Background records check
Must be willing to submit to and successfully pass a drug test
Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
Nice to have:
Associates degree, LADCII, or LADC Assistant highly preferred
Yoga instruction, art therapy, or meditation training is strongly preferred
MAP, Narcan, or CPI training and certifications are strongly preferred.
