Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to hold a mixed caseload and support other tasks including assessment, duty and groups in a thriving service, making positive changes in peoples’ lives, through a non-judgmental, recovery-based approach that values the strengths and choices of those individuals. The main purpose of this role is to provide excellent quality of care to people who use our service accessing treatment for substance use and their complex needs, in partnership with our clinical team, counsellors and other professionals involved in client's care. The duties are varied, and no two days will be the same.

Job Responsibility:

  • Hold a mixed caseload
  • Support other tasks including assessment, duty and groups
  • Provide excellent quality of care to people accessing treatment for substance use and their complex needs
  • Manage a caseload of clients to include prescribing
  • Provide good quality interventions at varying stages of recovery
  • Develop and deliver a wide range of groups
  • Support other areas of service delivery
  • Help take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support health and wellbeing such as smoking cessation and local events

Requirements:

In-depth knowledge and experience of the challenges affecting people with substance use and related health and wellbeing issues

Working alongside the surgeon, safely passing the correct surgical instruments and materials within and maintaining the sterile field to ensure safe and efficient completion of surgical procedures
  • Undertake surgical count, as per Optegra policy, with registered practitioner
  • Anticipating the needs of the surgeon and responding effectively
  • Safely checking, handling, recording and dispatching used instruments
