This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and growing organisation. We’re looking for a Recovery Practitioner to support our service users in our residential detox & rehab substance misuse service; this is across both our Passmores House & Kings Acre site in a leafy suburb of Harlow. We provide compassionate and professional support for individuals on their journey to recovery from drug and alcohol dependency. This is not just a job – you’ll help people rebuild their lives, reconnect with their family and friends, return to work or education, and much more.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support service users in residential detox & rehab substance misuse service
  • Be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team delivering detoxification and rehabilitation service
  • Provide support to a group of people who use our service
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other key stakeholders
  • Deliver evidence based, low to high threshold interventions and harm reduction advice
  • Through a variety of interventions, encourage individuals to develop external interests and build on their support networks and develop recovery capital to support community reintegration
  • Help people rebuild their lives, reconnect with their family and friends, return to work or education
