Records officer

• Manage and maintain physical and electronic records in accordance with policies and legal requirements
• Organise, categorise, and index records for easy retrieval and ensure proper storage of sensitive information
• Ensure the timely destruction or archiving of outdated records
• Assist in preparing records for audits, compliance reviews, and legal matters
• Assist in the implementation of records management policies and procedures
• Contribute to and facilitate the efficient flow of information and documentation
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all records

• Public sector records management experience
• Knowledge of records management systems and practices
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to records management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and records management software
• Ability to manage large volumes of information
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Immediately available
• Previous experience within government will be highly regarded
