Job Description:

We're looking for a Record to Report Workstream Lead to guide the design and implementation of our end‑to‑end accounting and reporting processes as part of a number of finance projects. In this role, you'll shape the future of global R2R processes for our finance function, support the rollout of IFS Cloud and ensure strong governance, standardisation and operational excellence across all accounting activities. These processes include general ledger recording, fixed asset accounting, accruals and sub-ledger close, intercompany settlement and close, account reconciliations, general ledger close, consolidation and period close, internal reporting, legal entity external reporting, group consolidation, and external audit. You'll play a pivotal role in modernising how the organisation records, reports and interprets financial information, working closely with Finance, Group Financial Control and the Project Management Office to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading the design of a robust, globally consistent operating model for Record to Report processes
  • Defining the systems, tools and applications needed to support high‑quality R2R activities across the organisation
  • Creating and maintaining the R2R process taxonomy and ensuring alignment to the William Grant Way
  • Using activity analysis insights to establish baseline costs and inform future process improvements
  • Setting workstream goals and developing the initiatives required to achieve them, alongside detailed execution plans
  • Identifying key risks, dependencies and issues across the R2R landscape and ensuring they are escalated, mitigated or resolved
  • Assessing resource and budget requirements and supporting mobilisation of the necessary teams to deliver the roadmap
  • Acting as the R2R Subject Matter Expert for finance projects and the IFS Cloud rollout, ensuring consistent processes, controls and ways of working across all implementations
  • Developing a multi‑year roadmap for the R2R workstream, ensuring all initiatives follow established governance and secure appropriate approvals
  • Designing and introducing standard R2R KPIs to measure performance across all operational locations
  • Maintaining a continuous improvement lens to identify opportunities to streamline, harmonise and strengthen the end‑to‑end R2R process
  • Ensuring effective change management and communications support all R2R initiatives, enhancing adoption and clarity across the business

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with experience in financial reporting, general ledger, or R2R process ownership
  • Finance professional who has contributed to process standardisation or change management projects and has experience with LEAN or Six Sigma methodology
