Our partner is looking for a Reconciliations Team Lead to join their Global Operations department in Budapest. You will lead a dedicated team of Investment Accounting analysts responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial data across multiple asset classes. The team’s scope covers the full spectrum of reconciliation processes, including Custody (IBOR), Performance (PBOR), and ABOR vs. IBOR checks. You will ensure that Fund Managers have access to high-quality position and market value data while driving operational excellence and risk mitigation. Serving as a central hub, you will connect investment teams, custodians, and technology partners.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and mentor a high-performing team of reconciliation professionals, ensuring seamless daily operations and career development
Oversee the accuracy of the Investment Book of Records (IBOR) through rigorous cash, position, and transaction reconciliations
Collaborate with Custodians, Corporate Actions, and Trade Support teams to investigate and resolve complex reconciliation breaks
Ensure the timely completion of all reconciliation activities across equity, fixed income, and derivatives, maintaining strict data integrity
Partner with Operations Leadership to refine the operating model and champion strategic process improvements
Lead operational projects focused on system enhancements, testing, and the implementation of automated workflows
Uphold internal policies and external regulations, acting as the primary representative for the function during audits
Serve as the key point of escalation for operational issues, building strong trust with internal and external stakeholders
Develop and maintain robust operational procedures to ensure best practices and continuous improvement
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
Significant experience in reconciliation processes including cash, position, and market value reconciliations
Familiarity with reconciliation systems such as TriResolve and accounting standards
Proven track record of managing and developing teams within financial services or asset management
Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, control environments, and regulatory requirements
Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to navigate cross-functional teams and external partners
Collaborative mindset with a strong focus on client satisfaction and service quality
