Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Receptionist to join our team in Downey, California. This is a long-term contract position designed for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and enjoys interacting with people. The role offers a flexible part-time schedule and requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills.

Job Responsibility:

Greet visitors and clients warmly, ensuring a well-organized and welcoming front desk experience
Manage incoming calls efficiently using a multi-line phone system, including handling switchboards with 1 to 10 lines
Respond to inbound calls promptly and direct them to the appropriate departments or individuals
Maintain accurate records and perform administrative tasks to support office operations
Ensure the reception area remains organized and presentable at all times
Collaborate with team members to resolve problems and streamline front desk processes
Provide support for scheduling and appointment management when needed
Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions at the front desk

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience in a receptionist or similar role
Proficiency in operating multi-line phone systems and switchboards
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
A positive work ethic and the ability to adapt to changing needs
Familiarity with basic office equipment and administrative tools
