The Receptionist is responsible for providing check-in and check-out services for the guest in a professional, timely, and hospitable manner. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices, and procedures, as well as within the framework and intent of the Vision for The Grand Ho Tram and Fusion brand.
Job Responsibility:
Establish, maintain, and manage good relationships with condotel & villa owners
Sell and upsell rooms, designate rooms, and register guests
Determine credit, render bills, and receive cash and credit payments efficiently and accurately
Manage the float, audit, and balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of the shift
Create, update, and present guest folio
Control and issue keys to guest rooms
Respond to guest inquiries and resolve guest concerns diplomatically and professionally
Create and maintain a refined yet welcoming and proficient guest registration experience
Intentional and alert regarding security measures and procedures
Communicate any unusual circumstances, events, or guests with the Supervisor
Maintain close work relationships with other departments and leaders to promote feedback and efficient operations
Positively collaborates and communicates proactively with Housekeeping and other departments regarding daily arrivals, VIPs, special requests, group needs, and checkouts
Ensures all activities performed within the department are in accordance with the company’s business objectives and established safety and security standards
Keep leadership informed on a timely basis of any undue variance from expected results
Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies
Perform others as required or assigned by the Senior Management
Requirements:
One year’s working experience is preferred
A Vocational School Certificate is required
higher education is preferred
Microsoft Office and PMS knowledge is preferred
Must present a well-groomed appearance
Ability to communicate fluently in the primary language of the workplace, both verbally and nonverbally
Fluent in English and third language is encouraged
Organized, can multi-task, has good problem-solving skills, and detail-oriented
