Job Responsibility
Welcome guests and employees in a courteous manner, ensuring a positive and detail-oriented first impression at the front desk in Houston, Texas
Answer incoming calls, route messages to the appropriate departments, and respond to routine inquiries with clarity and efficiency
Perform data entry tasks accurately while maintaining organized electronic and paper records for easy retrieval
Prepare, format, and update documents using Microsoft Word and other standard office tools as needed
Support general administrative activities such as filing, scanning, typing, and handling routine office correspondence
Coordinate basic office flow by assisting with scheduling, visitor check-in, and communication between staff and external contacts
Maintain a neat reception area and help ensure office materials and records are kept in orderly condition
Requirements
Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer-facing administrative role
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with visitors, clients, and coworkers
Proficiency in basic office tasks, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and general clerical support
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and confidence using standard office equipment and software
Typing speed of approximately 45 to 60 words per minute with good accuracy
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including proper grammar and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and maintain professionalism in a busy office setting
