We are looking for an experienced and service-oriented Receptionist to support daily front desk operations for a Contract position in Charleston, South Carolina. This position will serve as a key point of contact for visitors, callers, and internal staff. The ideal candidate brings clear communication skills and a detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced office setting.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the front desk by greeting visitors, directing inquiries, and creating a welcoming experience for guests and staff
Handle a multi-line phone system efficiently, routing calls accurately and taking detailed messages when needed
Coordinate calendars and arrange appointments to support smooth day-to-day scheduling needs
Prepare, send, and respond to email communications with care and attention to detail
Enter and update information in office records while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
Organize and maintain physical and electronic files so documents remain accessible and up to date
Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook to complete administrative tasks, track information, and support office communication
Support additional clerical activities as needed to keep reception and administrative workflows running efficiently
Requirements:
Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk, or administrative support role
Ability to manage a multi-line phone system while maintaining a courteous and detail-focused demeanor
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for routine administrative work
Accurate data entry skills and strong attention to detail
Experience handling email correspondence and scheduling appointments in a detail-focused environment
Ability to organize files, manage multiple priorities, and work independently during a short-term assignment
