Job Description:

We are looking for a Receptionist to join our team in Chicago, IL on a short-term contract. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and clients, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and enjoys multitasking to support daily office operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Welcome clients, applicants, and visitors, issuing visitor passes and ensuring adherence to security protocols
  • Coordinate meeting and conference room arrangements, including setup, catering orders, and technology needs
  • Perform general clerical tasks such as distributing packages and managing office supply inventory
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and freight, and arrange messenger services when required
  • Assist with hospitality services, including transportation arrangements, reservations, and ticket bookings
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in reception and public areas, ensuring furniture is properly positioned
  • Support employee engagement activities and events as directed by the team
  • Follow established procedures to complete tasks efficiently under close supervision
  • Address straightforward issues using existing processes and guidelines
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support office operations

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of relevant experience
  • Ability to adhere to established routines and standards in daily work
  • Strong communication skills for exchanging clear and concise information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic math skills for tasks such as calculating percentages and discounts
