Job Description:

Receptionist position at The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore focused on performing operational duties, promoting spa services, and ensuring high standards for guest satisfaction while complying with company policies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Update the reservations/cancellations list throughout the day
  • inform providers of last-minute changes and resolve scheduling issues
  • promote and sell spa/salon services
  • process guest payments for spa/salon services
  • balance, scan, and drop receipts
  • notify engineering of maintenance and repair needs
  • maintain cleanliness of fitness centre, spa and locker rooms
  • assist customers before and/or after their treatment for retail purchase
  • answer departmental telephone within 3 rings using correct telephone etiquette
  • accommodate all guest requests courteously and efficiently
  • handle guest complaints by following instant pacification procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction
  • dispose of any dirty linens to the proper area
  • monitor all guest activity in assigned work area
  • enforce spa, fitness centre and pool rules
  • utilize first aid and lifesaving procedures when needed

Requirements:

  • Schedule services for individuals and large groups using spa/salon reservations software system
  • ability to perform all reception operational duties including check in, check out, billing and reservation procedures
  • excel in knowledge of all spa services and products
  • conduct daily & month-end inventory count of retail items
  • ability to adapt to priority changes of workflow or requirements
  • ability to prioritize, organize and follow up
  • successful completion of the training/certification process
  • education: high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • related work experience: less than 1-year related work experience

  • ability to work cohesively with coworkers and other departments as part of a team
