Robert Half is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Receptionist on behalf of our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for clients, community members, and partners, playing a key role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment while ensuring smooth front office operations.
Job Responsibility:
Greet clients, visitors, and community members with professionalism, empathy, and respect
Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries in a timely manner
Provide general information about programs, services, and resources offered by the organization
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and office supplies
Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and use of shared spaces
Perform administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and document preparation
Support client intake processes and maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality
Collaborate with program staff to ensure client needs are addressed efficiently
Assist with special events, outreach efforts, and other administrative projects as needed
Requirements:
1–3 years of receptionist, front desk, or administrative experience (nonprofit or social services experience preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service and community-focused approach
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Experience with client databases or case management systems is a plus
