We are looking for a professional and organised Receptionist to support a busy front-of-house function based in Cambridge. This role would suit someone who enjoys being the first point of contact for visitors, contractors and internal staff, and who takes pride in providing a warm, professional and reliable service. You will be responsible for supporting the smooth running of reception, managing visitors, handling incoming calls and helping with general front-of-house administration.
Job Responsibility
Providing a professional meet-and-greet service for visitors, contractors and internal staff
Supporting the opening and closing of reception in line with site operating hours
Booking visitors onto site and signing them in using the visitor management system
Answering incoming calls and transferring them to the relevant department or individual
Taking messages and supporting internal calls where required
Receiving, sorting and distributing post to the correct department areas
Ensuring everyone coming onto site receives a first-class customer service experience
Supporting general reception administration and helping keep the reception area organised and presentable
Requirements
Previous reception, front-of-house, customer service or administration experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A professional and welcoming manner
Good time management and organisational skills
Confidence using computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel
The ability to pick up different systems, including telephone exchange and visitor management systems
A reliable, proactive and flexible approach
Good attention to detail when handling visitors, calls, post and site processes
