We are looking for a detail-oriented and welcoming Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for a service-based organization. This contract position is ideal for someone with experience who can manage a busy reception area, handle incoming calls efficiently, and create a positive first impression for visitors and callers. The right candidate will be organized, attentive, and comfortable balancing administrative support with customer-facing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Greet visitors promptly and ensure each guest is directed to the appropriate person or department
Manage a multi-line phone system, responding to incoming calls courteously and routing inquiries accurately
Maintain an orderly reception area that reflects an organized and welcoming workplace environment
Provide general administrative assistance such as taking messages, coordinating basic office communications, and supporting day-to-day front office needs
Monitor visitor flow and help facilitate smooth check-in procedures for guests, clients, and vendors
Handle routine inquiries with courtesy while escalating more complex requests to the appropriate team members
Support internal staff by assisting with scheduling, message distribution, and other front-desk coordination tasks
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in a receptionist, front-desk, or similar customer-facing administrative role
Demonstrated ability to operate a multi-line phone system and manage a high volume of inbound calls
Strong verbal communication skills with a courteous and attentive phone presence
Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving office setting
Reliable interpersonal skills and a service-oriented approach when interacting with visitors and staff
Basic administrative proficiency, including message handling and general office support tasks
Availability to work onsite in Reno, Nevada for the duration of this Contract assignment
