We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Receptionist to join our team in Dorchester, Massachusetts. This is a contract position ideal for individuals who excel at multitasking and have a friendly demeanor. The role involves managing front desk operations and ensuring seamless communication through a multi-line phone system.
Job Responsibility:
Greet visitors and staff with a welcoming and attentive attitude
Operate and manage a multi-line phone system, ensuring calls are answered promptly and directed appropriately
Handle inbound calls efficiently, providing accurate information or forwarding them to the correct department
Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean and organized
Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and data entry
Monitor and manage switchboard operations for phone systems with 1-10 lines
Provide support for part-time reception duties as required
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth front desk operations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar role
Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems and switchboards
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Friendly and attentive to details in demeanor
Basic knowledge of administrative procedures and office equipment
High school diploma or equivalent
Availability to work part-time as required.
