We are looking for an experienced and service-oriented Receptionist to support daily front desk operations for a non-profit organization in Long Beach, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is well suited for someone who communicates confidently in both English and Spanish and can create a welcoming experience for visitors while keeping administrative tasks organized. The role requires strong attention to detail, comfort handling a busy phone line, and the ability to manage scheduling and office support responsibilities effectively.
Job Responsibility:
Welcome guests, clients, and staff members at the front desk and ensure each interaction is handled in a courteous and attentive manner
Manage incoming calls on a multi-line phone system, route messages accurately, and connect callers with the appropriate departments or team members
Coordinate appointments, update calendars, and maintain organized records to support smooth day-to-day operations
Complete routine clerical and administrative assignments such as data entry, document preparation, filing, and general office support
Assist with office coordination by helping maintain an orderly reception area and supporting daily operational needs across the team
Use Microsoft Office and scheduling tools to track information, prepare correspondence, and support administrative workflows
Provide bilingual assistance in English and Spanish to help visitors and callers receive clear and timely information
Support coworkers with additional administrative tasks as needed to help the office run efficiently
Requirements:
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required
Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer-facing administrative role is preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required
Experience handling inbound calls and working with a multi-line phone system is needed
Familiarity with scheduling or patient-tracking software, including Ortho2, is strongly preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a wide range of people
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
